Republic of Honduras’ situated in Central America spreading around an area of 1,12,000 sq km. In order to differentiate from British Honduras, Honduras was also called Spanish Honduras bordered by Nicaragua to the South, Guatemala to West, Pacific Ocean and El Salvador to South East, Caribbean Sea to the East and Gulf of Honduras to the North. The country’s total population is 8 million. The ethnic group dominant in Honduras is Mestizos, Lempira is the currency, capital being Tegucigalpa and language spoken primarily is Spanish.

Geographically, the country’s terrain consists of mountains, narrowed coastal plains and quite a huge lowland jungle in North Eastern part of the country. Another lowland region that’s densely populated is Sula Valley to the North Western part. The river Coco does mark the Honduran-Nicaraguan boundary to the South Eastern part. Other parts that belong to Honduran Republic are Swan Islands and Islas de la Bahia as well as Rosario and Misteriosa Banks.

Climatically, the Honduran weather does vary from lowland tropical to temperatures along the mountains. Like other tropical countries, Honduras does experience both dry and rainy seasons. In particular, the South and West regions have monsoons running typically from May through November. Just to North as well as Bay Islands, the monsoon arrives quite late from September through December with expected storms around February.

The most ideal time to visit Honduras would be the dry seasons, especially scuba divers could get most of their interests fulfilled, and it’s also optimal to tour La Moskitia. All in all, it’s pretty satisfying to travel to Honduras in the months of February through March. If you’d like to experience the rainy season, it has its own goodies for travelers and you would still have a good time bathing in the rains and getting around feeling the Honduran weather more up close.

The awesomeness of heading to a beach is euphoric in and of itself. There’re beaches that offer the modern amenities blended perfectly with whatever tradition followed in that place and gets the best ambience out that makes the beach as popular as ever. There’re beaches that don’t offer much in terms of luxuries, but are very rich when it comes to natural resources. As long as you don’t preserve or conserve any form of wildlife, nature, plants etc, the ecosystem wouldn’t look beautiful, and if spoiled, the place loses its natural elements and man has to invent artificial ideas for balancing whatever lost. They say prevention is better than cure; at least, we must take that seriously and preserve what is there rather than build what was there.

That said, you got to shower praises on Hollywood for creating a unique beach. The Hanalei Bay is located along the Northern Shores of Kauai and stretches a good two miles with golden sand with a background of hilly volcanic cliffs braided with waterfalls jumping from a mesmerizing 1000 feet.

The clear blue waters are house to colorful coral reefs, rainbow-patterned fish and a heaven for avid divers and snorkelers. At summertime, the Hanalei Bay waters relax a bit flowing with sunny weather thereby turning placid resembling a big swimming pool. During this time, opportunists are avid fishermen, swimmers, kayakers and canoe paddlers. On the other hand, winters make the waters rougher where large waves are created drawing windsurfers and board surfers to the gigantic breakers.

Camping or heading to a beach during weekends or long weekends would be too good. Have you ever dreamed of the first cruises and the first possible destination those cruises undertook? It’s surely historical when we go back as recent as 100 years ago when people were really beginning to think about exploring newer places and newer modes of travel.

Ships were usually transporting cargo and travelers through the Atlantic from mid 1800s, but in 1900 they actually built a ship specifically for leisure purposes better known as cruises now. The luxurious ship was called Prinzessin Victoria Luise and had around 120 superb staterooms, darkroom for photographers and even a gym. The ship sailed to cruise on 26th Jan 1901 from New York for what was its 1st official cruise that included a pit stop at St. Thomas. The ship continued its journey through the Mediterranean and Caribbean for 5 long years before accidentally running into the shores of Jamaica in the year 1906.

To this day, St. Thomas is the one among the world’s busiest cruiser ports. In peak seasons, you could see at least 10 vessels daily docking at the various terminals. Other than shopping duty-free goods, cruisers would also like to visit beaches as a priority, and they have choices of Magens Bay and Lindbergh Bay’s Emerald Beach to the North and South respectively. You would also have the opportunity to feel some of the things experienced by the original cruisers way back 100 years ago.

Still not gone to a beach party? Well, finding beaches is not a problem these days, but finding the right beach is always a problem. Partying hard in the beaches with cops all around is a pretty tricky situation, but with proper security, things would get better and exciting. Knowing a beach that has a history and partying there would be real fun. The history surrounding a beach might vary from beach to beach, but its significance dating back to time immemorial is really a tripper when you really think about it at the peak of your partying hour.

Capri in Italy is one such beach destination you should be looking forward to. History says ancient Romans used to vacation for a long time spanning four to five years altogether embarking on journeys to important sites, primarily in Egypt and Greece. Long vacations such as these would start close to home with pit stops along the Bay of Naples seaside resorts. These vacations were ongoing for more than 100 years with the wealthier Romans often vacationing in Baiae, an exotic town with hot medicinal springs, splendid villas (including villas of Nero and Caesar) and not to forget luxurious parties at nights.

Baiae was abandoned by 1500, and its ruins now seen under Bay of Naples. At the present time, a place equivalent to Baiae would be Capri that’s just like a playground for the rich and famous. Beaches at Capri are chiefly rocky, but very popular nonetheless. Bagni di Tiberio is a beautiful beach near the fishing district of the island, which was once upon a time the seaside palace of Emperor Tiberius.

Getting to Capri would be through regular hydrofoil and ferry rides between Capri and Naples, which would roughly take around 45 to 75 minutes to reach there.

Definitely, beaches are the place to be in any part of the world. Imagining this world with no beaches around is very difficult, and in case you are, then it must be a bad dream. Traveling to beaches is exciting if the beach had something spectacular that happened many years ago. Wineglass Bay in Australia is one such beach with a significant history behind it.

Wineglass Bay is situated in Tasmania. Many magazines globally have listed this beach to be one among the most beautiful beaches while the beach’s past is still haunting many who know about it. The story goes back to 1820s when whalers got off from their vessels and landed on Wineglass Bay. The whalers had a bad time with the original aboriginal tribe called Pydairrerme. The whalers would often sail in smaller boats to harpoon and hunt whales. After the catch, they would tow the dead whale to the shore, butcher them and boil it for oil. Oil was then sent to the UK and used for the purpose of lighting, and they made ladies’ corsets utilizing whalebones. During the butchery of whales along the shores, whales’ blood would stain all over the Wineglass Bay area giving rise to a dark red color; hence it was named Wineglass Bay. Whaling was ultimately stopped by conservationists, but it was flourishing here for as long as 20 years.

At the present time, Wineglass Bay belongs to the Freycinet National Park that’s popular for boating, sea kayaking, bush walking and rock climbing. Even though the past was an uneventful one, the beaches still attract plenty of travelers from all parts of the world.

If you’re hunting for an exotic Asian beach resort, then head to Bali in Indonesia. Tagged as one of the best in the business among many other resorts, Grand Hyatt is surely a tripper of an experience. The management certainly deserves the credit for putting Bali on top of tourism maps globally. Facilities given here are authentic and truly admirable and the stay worth every penny spent.

Grand Hyatt is moderately built and not the biggest of all the resorts. It spreads over several acres of land comprising of spas, neatly maintained exquisite lawns, Balinese village, craftsmen, culture shows and last but not the least Indonesian delicacies. Quality is at par when compared to some exotic resorts. The resort sticks to the Indonesian culture while intelligently camouflaging into a modern hotel at all times. Activities are aplenty to be experienced.

Undergoing renovation some time back, the resort hasn’t changed much, but polished pretty well. It takes a pleasure for any resort to announce 650 accommodations available to cater any number of tourists knocking its doors. The accommodations comprise of suites and villas and most of these have private balconies and gardens.

The amenities and facilities provided are of top quality, and the management has indeed worked hard in giving utmost customer satisfaction, luxury, convenience and comfort. The Customer Care Department here probably has to work the least, as there’s not much to complain as attention paid to smallest details is quite remarkable.

Whether you intend to travel with friends or family, Grand Hyatt welcomes one and all. Moreover, children would have the time of their life with plenty of programs arranged specially for them.

What entices us most while lying on the beaches? The answer would be numerous as nature has its own way to converse with people, and it depends on what you’re looking for and what you get. With almost a third covered with water, Earth is not short of beaches, some which are still exotic and world class maintained by the best in the business in recent times. Again, frequenting to these destinations quite often, you would indeed get bored and want to head to a new place, and that’s when you start looking at other options available. History surrounding the beach is always interesting along with other amenities normally provided in the best beach resorts. We’ll talk about Aruba’s Malmok Beach now.

Malmok Beach – Aruba

The Malmok Beach’s history dates back to World War II, and the site’s considered as one among the biggest shipwrecks along the Caribbean beaches. During WWII, there was a German freighter called Antilla that carried provisions to submarines that were patrolling waters of the Venezuelan Coast. The Antilla was permitted to dock at Aruba. Aruba at that time was the neutral zone, but not until Germany occupied Holland in the year 1940 that made Aruba join the Allies. Due to this, Antilla was ordained to surrender. The captain of Antilla agreed to surrender the next day, but when police arrived at the scene, the ship was gone. It turned out that the Captain of Antilla had sunk the ship himself, some place off Malmok Beach due to fear that the vessel would be captured by Allies. At the present time, the Antilla (a 400 footer WWII marvel) lies deep in the Caribbean and regarded one among the biggest wrecks to have ever happened. It is now home to plenty of marine lives to include large ruby sponges, lobsters, coral formations and many tropical fish.

Due to the significant WWII shipwreck, the Malmok Beach attracts snorkelers, history buffs and divers. Divers and snorkelers usually dive deep to explore the shipwreck in clear waters. The shipwreck sleeps over 60 feet of seawater, and is a haven for divers as they have plenty of diving time, yet Antilla was a large vessel and exploring her fully would need several deep dives. If diving doesn’t interest you much, you could go down to the Boca Catalina, which is a reclusive bay appropriate for swimming.
